Exhibition Hall Plan

Following the success of three previous exhibition in Tehran, the Secretariat of the High Council for Free Trade-Industrial Zones intends to hold the Fourth Exhibition of Free Zones at an international level.

The exhibition is intended to introduce the capabilities of domestic and foreign free and special economic zones, to provide an opportunity for the exchange of technical and managerial knowledge, transfer technology and to establish cooperative links with other such zones across the world. The exhibition is scheduled for 10-13 January 2006.

The Island appropriately called “the Pearl of the Persian Gulf” is the country’s first established Free Trade-Industrial Zone. It has proved its position as a convenient venue for specialized shows, hosting about 15 large and small specialty events a year. The Kish Trade Promotion Center (KTPC) sponsors the exhibitions in Kish. The Center was founded in 2001 with a vast mandate, including holding specialty exhibitions. More than 21000m2 exhibition space and a wide range of facilities have been put in place to accommodate various shows.

The Secretariat of the High Council for Free Zones has appointed a committee to oversee and ensure the successful organization of the Exhibition. The committee consists of representatives from the Secretariat, Kish Free Zone Organization and Kish Trade Promotion Center. The exhibition will be held in an area of 14000m2 attracting participation from domestic and foreign zones.

The Fourth Exhibition of Free and Special Economic Zones, held on international scale is expected to play a pivotal role in introducing capabilities possessed by Free Zones, as well as their attractions and technological advancements across the world. The event will also contribute to the strength of Iran’s economic ties and diplomatic cooperation with other Free Zones and Special Economic Zones. The Exhibition will further bring Iranian producers and businesspeople together with their foreign counterparts, in a bid to boost their ties.
